As we enter the third year of the COVID-19 pandemic, challenges to obtain current scientific information, especially for children, continue as the virus mutates, and new preventative and treatment modalities are developed. This issue's COVID-19 column will review latest, but probably not final, reports on "long COVID-19" and the Omicron variant in children.
