Saakshi Khattri, MD, considers several deficits in the treatment of atopic dermatitis (AD), among which are a reliable means to determine which cases of pediatric AD will progress to the adult form, the development of more effective systemic therapies, and the closing of ethnic and racial disparities in the diagnosis and treatment of this costly condition.
Filling these gaps, Dr Khattri suggests, will automatically result in a more complete and responsive therapeutic space.
