Data concerning continuous variables are expressed as median and interquartile range (IQR). Differences between groups were analysed with the Mann-Whitney test for continuous variables, and the chi-square test for categorical variables. Impedance-pH parameters independently associated with PPI response were identified by means of multivariable logistic regression analysis. The yield of parameters independently predicting PPI response in EoE was assessed by means of receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis with calculation of the area under the curve (AUC) and 95% confidence intervals (CI). STATA statistical software, release 13 (STATA) was used. A value of P < 0.05 was considered significant.
