Dr Shannon Westin, of the MD Anderson Cancer Center, reveals two major challenges when facing patients with ovarian cancer: early detection and finding the right treatment for the right patient. Westin also describes the frustration of not being able to select a therapy specific to a patient's tumor or pinpoint a specific blood test to come up with the perfect treatment strategy for patients without a BRCA mutation or known tumor aberrations.
