Chronic Alcohol Intake and Binge Drinking

Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test defines binge drinking as six+ drinks/day while many studies used gender-specific definition with four+ drinks/day for women and five+ drinks/day for men (Wilsnack et al., 2018). It is accepted that drinking pattern influences the relationship of ICH and alcohol exposure. Attention should be directed to clarify the characteristics of chronic alcohol intake and binge drinking. The association and differences between the two drinking patterns are listed in Table 3.
