Materials and Methods

This retrospective study received approval from Institutional Review Board at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. An institutional database search using the keyword congenital hepatic fibrosis was conducted. Five cases, including three biopsy specimens (cases 1, 2, and 3) and two resections (cases 4 and 5), with confirmed clinicopathologic diagnosis of CHF were identified within a period of 8 years. The available H&E- and trichrome-stained sections were reviewed by two liver pathologists (M.I.A. and W.C.). Pertinent clinical, laboratory, and radiologic data were obtained from electronic medical records.
