Conclusion
Pediatric RCC is a different clinical entity than adult RCC. Compared with its adult counterpart, pediatric RCC is associated with more aggressive features, more advanced stage at diagnosis, and a higher propensity for metastatic disease. Histologically, these tumors are characterized by a predominance of MiTF translocation tumors. Lymph node dissection may have a therapeutic effect in young patients.
