Conclusion
Re-do pouch surgery is well tolerated and effective in carefully selected patients. It is essential that patient expectations are realistic, they have optimal health, and are motivated prior to embarking on re-do pouch surgery. Despite the risks and limitations of re-do pouch surgery, over 92% of patients reported that they would undergo the operation again or recommend it to others, underscoring the value of this procedure in correctly chosen patients.
