Anesthesia
All patients benefit from placement of an indwelling infraclavicular catheter for postoperative analgesia if not contraindicated. Infusion may begin before surgery or after surgery if a neurovascular check is desired. The analgesic benefit of the infraclavicular infusion catheter aids in early postoperative motion protocols with minimal discomfort and may be continued for 2--3 days.
