We were not able to show any interference of pacemaker function by the use of iPod™ or MP3 players adjacent to the pacemaker area in our pediatric population. No additional precaution beyond standard (approximately 6 inches distance from pacemaker) is necessary for patients with pacemakers when they are using these players.
