What are benefits and risks of estrogen therapy?

The 2017 Hormone Therapy Position Statement of the North American Menopause Society and the 2015 Endocrine Society Clinical Practice Guidelines suggest other benefits and risks of menopausal hormone therapies- both estrogens alone and estrogen combined with progestogen. Benefits and risks may vary according to patient’s pre-existing medical disorders, hormone doses, formulations and duration of therapy.
