Several preparations are available for hormone therapy. They include estrogen therapy alone or estrogen in combination with a progestogen (EPT). Unopposed estrogen in patients with an intact uterus increases the likelihood of endometrial hyperplasia and endometrial carcinoma. [15, 16]
