Answer

Obtain follow-up urine culture results in any patient with a complicated UTI, a complicated course, or increased risk of infection. Urine cultures are generally not indicated in healthy, nonpregnant women with resolved symptoms. [13] All patients with a complicated UTI should be considered for outpatient follow-up imaging of the urinary tract to identify abnormalities that predispose to further infections.
