Primary glomerular diseases include the following:

  • Membranous nephropathy
  • Alport syndrome
  • Immunoglobulin A (IgA) nephropathy
  • Focal and segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS)
  • Minimal change disease
  • Membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis (MPGN)
  • Complement-related diseases (eg, atypical hemolytic-uremic syndrome [HUS], dense deposit disease)
  • Rapidly progressive (crescentic) glomerulonephritis
