The American Academy of Neurology suggests cognitive screening when cognitive impairment is suspected. [5]  In 2020, the US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) concluded that the current evidence is insufficient to assess the balance of benefits and harms of screening for cognitive impairment in older adults.
